Case control study of CD4 cell count and some haematological parameters among hepatitis and non-hepatitis B patients in Oyo State, South-west, Nigeria

Aim: Hepatitis B virus HBV infection is a major cause of chronic liver disease worldwide. CD4 count and haematological parameters (HPs) could be used to monitor the health status hepatitis (HB) individuals. This study aimed at assessing levels some HPs among sufferers HB patients controls.
 Methods: Fifty (50) as cases 50 age-matched controls were recruited into study. 5ml whole blood sample was collected from all eligible participants which 20μl 10μl for analysis respectively. Pearson correlation assess statistical difference within them using SPSS version 20.
 Results: There significant increase between normal values both (p<0.05). Significant correlations found in such HCT with WBC; RBC PLT; RBC, PLT WBC.
 Conclusion: no differences hematological subjects this need future studies detect changes other options screening immunological during management.
